Come camping with us and experience the Sonoran Desert like you never have before...

February 24 – 26, 2017

The McDowell Sonoran Conservancy is offering a one-of-a-kind adult camping experience in McDowell Mountain Regional Park that includes Steward-led hikes, presentations by desert experts, food, fun and tent camping with plenty of creative comforts provided by Arizona Outback Adventures (AOA).

This 52-hour sunrise to sunset experience will take you on a journey through the McDowell Sonoran Preserve that reaches to the top of Tom’s Thumb and along the rolling pristine trails of Granite Mountain. You’ll spend time with other nature lovers under the stars, while learning first-hand about the Sonoran Desert and its unique flora and fauna.

Package includes all meals, trail snacks and water, tent, sleeping pad, private group shower / restroom facilities and shuttles to / from park and all events. The camping site is located in a private and remote section of McDowell Mountain Regional Park that feels far from the city lights! You must be 18 or older to participate.

Fresh cooked meals and campsite services provided by AOA. You may bring your own alcohol for responsible consumption in can or plastic containers only. See AOA website for weather, payment and other policies and suggested packing list.
