Become a Volunteer

Trails are patrolled on bike, horse and on foot.  With over 170 miles of trails, we need mountain bikers to cover longer distances.

Stewards lead a class of 4th graders as they explore the Sonoran Desert.

There is a one-time orientation fee of $50 to offset the cost of materials.  Please submit your application and payment at least two weeks prior to the class date to reserve a spot, as there is limited space. You can include a check made payable to McDowell Sonoran Conservancy with your mailed application, or call us with your credit card information. Our office number is 480-998-7971; ask for Kathy Dwyer at extension 106.

After we receive your application and payment, Kathy Dwyer, our Director of Steward Operations will contact you to have a brief conversation with you to learn more about you and your interests.  You will then be assigned a steward mentor, who will partner with you while you move through the brief stewardship orientation process.
