Community Service Days are perfect opportunities for all to participate!

Community Days of Service

Team Community Days of Service projects in the McDowell Sonoran Preserve are good for the environment! We need your help to make sure this special place will be here for generations to come.

Work with experts from scientists to city planners, enjoy the camaraderie of like-minded people, and contribute to the preservation of one of Arizona’s precious natural resources.  McDowell Sonoran Conservancy crew leaders will train and work with small groups of volunteers on a habitat remediation or restoration project.

2017 Community Service Days:

Saturday, April 22, 2017: Earth Day

Saturday, October 28, 2017: Make a Difference Day!

Monday, January 15, 2018: Birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr.

We will provide all the tools needed for the project.  We will also provide water and snacks for the group.  We ask that each person wear sunscreen, appropriate shoes for walking in the desert (no flipflops), long pants, a hat and bring work gloves.

For more information and to coordinate your project contact Kathy Dwyer at (480) 998-7971 extension 106.
